I am working on some yummy socks at the moment. Here are a few gratuitous work in progress shots for those of you that love a nice sock photo.
I started these at the weekend and they are called my Dick Van Dyke Socks (named because Dick Van Dyke is awesome and also because the pattern is actually called “Van Dyke Socks” by Wendy Johnson). They are knitted from the toe-up and feature a nice simple lace pattern. The yarn is Zauberball Stärke 6 in the colourway is Spring is Here (wishful thinking perhaps).
Here’s my other sock WIP – The World’s Greenest Socks (named for obvious reasons). The yarn was from the SSS (Small Skein Society) and the pattern is Diagonal Lace Socks by Wendy Johnson. Again, they are toe-up and feature a simple lace pattern. These socks are knitted in sock yarn/4 ply whereas my Dick Van Dyke socks are knitted in sport weight/6 ply.
It’s fair to say I have got my sock mojo back thanks to the Socks with Sarah Knitalong!
